Apply to become a Provisionally Approved Supervisor

To be eligible to be a Provisionally Approved Pastoral Supervisor, a person must –

  • have completed a recognised course in a related vocation, or
  • have no less than 5 years’ experience in pastoral ministry, mentoring and coaching (including retired ministry workers, or ministry spouses) or other related vocations,
  • undertake the Supervision Foundations Training Course.
  • Pastoral Supervisors in this group are required to obtain a qualification in Pastoral Supervision and progress to non-provisional approval within 5 years.

The next Supervisor Foundations Training Course details will be announced
closer to the time.

Approval will be issued for a specified period, usually five years, and is not perpetual. The usual duration of approval will be reviewed from time to time in accordance with the review schedule of the Pastoral Supervision Policy.

Before commencing the application form below please collect the following documents for uploading as either pdf (preferred), jpg, or png format:

  • Professional Qualifications (if any).
  • Evidence of 5 year’s experience in pastoral ministry, mentoring and coaching (including retired ministry workers, or ministry spouses) or other related vocations.
  • A copy of a national police check no older than 12 months (eg: from Crimcheck )
  • A signed copy of the Letter of Agreement for Provisional Approved Pastoral Supervisors
  • A character reference from your current minister/pastor
