Privacy Policy Statements for the Pastoral Supervisors and Supervisees
For Supervisors
The information we collect on this form, and other information that you provide to us at our request, is being collected by Sydney Diocesan Services (SDS) and will be used for the following purposes:
- To assess applications from persons wishing to become Pastoral Supervisors and make decisions on those applications.
- To maintain a database of Approved and Provisionally Approved Pastoral Supervisors.
- To publish a list of Approved and Provisionally Approved Pastoral Supervisors.
- For other purposes necessary or incidental to implementing and upholding the Pastoral Supervision Policy and Pastoral Supervision Ordinance 2023 of the Anglican Diocese of Sydney.
Please note that SDS does not collect information from Pastoral Supervisors or Pastoral Supervisees in relation to the content of the sessions of pastoral supervision (unless an exception applies under the Pastoral Supervision Policy).
The information you provide will be stored in SDS’ database in Salesforce.
The information will be disclosed to Ministry Training & Development (including its staff) and the Office of the Archbishop for the above purposes. It may also be disclosed for other purposes for the ‘proper administration of the Diocese’ (as defined in SDS’ Privacy Policy).
If SDS cannot collect this information from you, your application to be approved as a Pastoral Supervisor, or your application to be recorded as undertaking Pastoral Supervision, cannot be considered.

For Supervisees
The information we collect on this form, and other information that you provide to us at our request, is being collected by Sydney Diocesan Services (SDS) and will be used for the following purposes:
- To record that a person is undertaking Pastoral Supervision as a Supervisee.
- To maintain a record of the name of the Pastoral Supervisor for each Pastoral Supervisee, the date and number of sessions of Pastoral Supervision completed, the types of sessions undertaken (e.g. one-to-one or group).
- To record the annual declaration of compliance made under the Pastoral Supervision Policy by Pastoral Supervisees.
Please note that SDS does not collect information from Pastoral Supervisors or Pastoral Supervisees in relation to the content of the sessions of pastoral supervision (unless an exception applies under the Pastoral Supervision Policy).
